Promised Eden has been together since August of 2003. From the stages of clubs in Boston to performing as the opening act for national band “Nonpoint” their hard-hitting, energetic sets instantly had an impact on the local rock scene. The 4-member band consists of singer Keith Brindle, guitarist Patrick Keating, bassist Wayne Williams and drummer/percussionist Mike Paquin.
Their influences are as diverse as the music they have written. From Sevendust to Dream Theater, or Van Halen to Metallica, Promised Eden’s own unique style can be heard throughout their debut CD “Guilt.” The music can be classified as hard rock, but edges toward metal in many of their songs.
“Guilt,” which features 11 songs and a hidden acoustic track was recorded and released in 2006 to acclaimed reviews.
“The band Promised Eden called its debut album "Guilt," though this may be the most guilt-free rock record out of Worcester in some time.
"Guilt" is a gift to fans of modern hard rock as the record spans the grungy low-end tones of, say, Alice in Chains to the more metallic sting of a Sevendust record”
~ Scott McLennon, Worcester Telegram
The hard-rocking track “Bleed and Die” was selected by Matchbox Records to be included on their compilation CD entitled “The Great Indie Comeback Volume III” and climbed to number 20 on the Matchbox Radio charts. The melodic “Don’t Belong” was chosen by Boston’s hard rock station WAAF to appear on their “Miss Mantown” DVD in 2008.

The band is currently writing their second complete album and will begin recording in early 2009 with the goal of a late fall release.
